Yes, he does seem rather introspective, not unlike the nature of what he authors. I thought this was pretty interesting though as his work revels in the quirks of life, those without driven points of view. I'm not always bowled over, there is an emptiness somehow in the settings and characters he creates. That isn't a bad thing, but it just doesn't jive with my sensibilities.Worthy to look at and analyze though.
I've only ever seen Daniel Clowes' work -- never seen the man himself before. He did one of my favorite New Yorker covers last year as seen here.
