The Hero's Journey in Under 75 Panels
Discussing Chris's GN as being done as a silent narrative reminded me of this recent piece by Matt Rhodes (a video game concept artist) titled My Hero. I tried to post the whole image, but it was too small, so check it out here. Any thoughts?
I liked it. Much can be done without dialogue. My mention of keeping an image per page would help--I think--differentiate his story, embracing the artful nature of those full panel images. He'd also have a kicking folio with that much linoleum to choose from. Still, he's got to stay true to his vision.
